Cucumber Watermelon Lime Juice

Jim is an absolute stickler for following all the juicing rules. Not many fruits, mostly leafy greens, a little bit of ginger and you MUST add lemon juice and apple cider vinegar at the end.

Me? I’m a rule breaker.

OR I just can’t take the taste of straight kale and chard. I like a little sweetness and I LOVE beets and carrots. “Too much sugar!” Jim will yell as I jam another carrot into our Greenstar.

Boys-can’t live with them, can’t live without them.

And when said boy juices ALL your greens before you’re even out on bed on a busy day, you’re stuck left juicing the leftovers. And today, those leftovers were watermelon, cucumber and limes. And a wee bit of honeydew. And DAMN, was it delicious.

Sure, I felt a little guilty that I didn’t have any superfood greens in there. But it has great taste, and hey, cucumbers and limes are green!

I think it irks Jim that I don’t post any of his awesome juice recipes. But with all due repesct, when he juices at 5 AM, I am just not up for taking notes for a later post. So sorry babe, but my juice recipe is the only one on the blog thus far!

Half an organic mini watermelon

1 large cucumber

1/2 cup honeydew melon

Juice of 3 limes

  • Juice all ingredients and enjoy!
