Boston Vegetarian Festival Recap!

I hope all you Boston herbies were at the Boston Vegetarian Festival this past weekend!

If you didn’t make it, you really missed out! It was crazy crowded which just goes to show you how much the vegetarian/vegan community is growing. There was tons of free samples, lots of awesome vegan vendors, wonderful speakers and just a friendly atmosphere. I went alone but talked to lots of strangers and felt like I was amongst friends. Really awesome, vegan friends!

The typical, large vegan vendors were there (Follow Your Heart, Gardein, Vitamix, Olivia’s Organics), but what I was really into were all the super amazing local companies. My favorite FOMU was there, along with Like No Udder, Boston Organics, Vegan Treats (hello Boston Creme Donuts and cannolis!) and Sudo Shoes. I wanted to buy something from everyone! It was literally vegan heaven (a really, really, really crowded heaven).

Some new faces turned out to be the most impressive though. I met the incredible ladies from Lighter Culture. They have an amazing program set up, focusing on women, weight loss and based around eating healthy, whole foods. They offer life-changing classes and I was truly impressed with their mission. Check them out!

Since I don’t usually eat faux meats, I had never tried Upton’s Naturals. I sampled a BLT there though and freaking loved it! I’m obsessed with their packaging too for some reason.

And I’m so NOT into paper goods or stationary but I absolutely fell in love with all the eco-friendly, uber cute cards and products from Two Trick Pony. I bought some awesome stuff and will be back for more! Most of them revolve around veganism and kale-how fun is that!?
