Johnson Cooking Demo Recap

Just a quick recap of another successful event and a profession of love to Johnson Compounding and Wellness in Waltham.

I taught a plant-based demo during their bi-annual customer appreciation day for the third time this past weekend. It’s always such a fun event and it’s so nice to see so many familiar faces and so many people interested in natural and alternative health.

Among the snacks I prepared were my recent Gluten-Free Sweet Potato Brownies, my upcoming recipe for Raw Apple Fig Oatmeal Bites, Pumpkin Pie Smoothies, Vanilla Chai Smoothies (recipe next week, too) and my Pumpkin Seed and Cranberry Granola Bars. And everything was made out of ingredients from Johnson’s!

Surprisingly, they had even better quality products than I sometimes find at Whole Foods. Coconut flour and coconut oil from Nutiva are my fave products from there since they are both superior quality, organic and non-GMO. They also have an assortment of Ziggy Marley coconut oils, Eden cranberries, nuts and seeds, lots of brands of chia seeds and some yummy protein powders from Amazing Meal. And this is all on top of their incredible assortment of high-quality vitamins and supplements.

Did I mention their staff is AMAZING? The nicest, most well-educated group of people who become personally invested in so many of their customer’s needs and medical concerns. They’ve helped me on many occasions and I can’t recommend them enough.

So if you are in, or around, the Waltham area, make sure to stop by Johnson’s for all your natural health needs!
