Natural Living Expo

Two days after the Natural Living Expo and all I can still think is…

Is this real life?

Ever since I started TVP, I didn’t really know it would take me. I started out so small, but after a year and a half I know now, that what I love the most is doing public demos and cooking lessons.

But never in a million years did I fathom doing lessons for a group as large as the one at the Natural Living Expo.

Thousands and thousands of people passed through the doors of this huge holistic/health event this past week and I was blessed with the opportunity to teach 6 hours of demos in front of hundreds of attendees. Everyone looking to learn different things, asking various health questions, but all of them looking for one simple thing-how to improve their diet. And it still blows my mind, that it was me that was the one they were looking to learn from. It was an amazing group, with so many well-educated like-minded people in the crowd. We covered everything from smoothies, snacks, salads, quinoa, protein sources and desserts with recipes like a raw version of our Thai quinoa saladchickpea salad sandwiches, strawberry kale salad, maple miso kale salad, and OF COURSE raw cheesecake.

So if you came to the expo, THANK YOU! Thank you for taking the time to check out the demos, to chat with me. And I hope to work with many of you in the future.

In the meantime, check out these pictures of me being so official in my chef’s jacket and dorky headset 😉

I was one of those fortunate enough to check out a couple of your Demi’s, along with my girlfriend. We were the vegans in the back. I signed up for your newsletter and plan on making some of your recipes, starting with the almond feta thst you spoke of.

  2. Susan, thanks for your comment and for coming to the expo! 🙂 heres one variation of the almond cheese i was talking about! http://theveganpact.com/2013/03/walnut-spinach-salad-with-raw-almond-cheese/
you can also bake it for about 40 minutes at 375 degrees to get it extra firm
