So Delicious Cashew Milk Ice Creams & Giveaway

Boy, things have been quiet around here, haven’t they?

I feel like a broken record, but things have been more than crazy recently. It seems every sporadic post the last few months has been prefaced by acknowledging how busy I’ve been…which is clearly the case as of late.

I’ve started cooking for an amazing client in Boston on a weekly basis and though I love prepping meals for him, the trek into Boston a midst the snow mounds has been a nightmare and totally time consuming. My spring teaching schedule is jam packed and planning classes consumes what little downtime I usually have. Add to that my normal cooking clients, nannying and a month long sickness. Oh, AND add to that working part time at my old office job for a couple of weeks. Hence, why I’ve been sick. No time for the gym, yoga or to even eat for that matter. Which is terrible, and mildly hypocritical, considering I’m cooking all these healthy meals for all these other people.

Stressed much? Know what made me feel a whole lot better? A case of the new cashew milk ice creams from So Delicious.

Because really, isn’t ice cream the only thing that will soothe a sore throat?

And this ice cream is really, truly, utterly amazing. The creaminess non-dairy ice cream I have EVER had. Not to mention the incredible flavor options they have. Salted caramel ANYTHING is the way to my vegan heart, and when it comes in the form of decadent cashew milk ice cream…game over. I generally don’t like to play favorites, especially when it comes to So Delicious treats, but that one takes the cake. Read below for a rundown of each flavor and enter to win a free So Delicious product of your own so you can try their new ice cream!

CREAMY CASHEW: This one was killer, even though it’s the most basic of the bunch. It was hands down, the creamiest and richest of the bunch and was especially smooth on my sore throat. This was my medicine for a few days. And it really, truly helped. It basically tasted like an ice cream version of my raw vegan cheesecake. SO GOOD.

DARK CHOCOLATE TRUFFLE: Not being a huge chocolate fan, I was still impressed with how much I liked this rich, cocoa pint. It was definitely the least creamy of the bunch, so I didn’t eat much of it straight up out of the container like I did the others. It WAS, however, really, really great in a peanut butter smoothie once it was blended up a bit more.

SALTED CARAMEL CLUSTER: Heaven in a carton, is what I would rename this. I ate almost an entire batch for breakfast one morning because I just could NOT get enough of it. I even brought spoonfuls of it around my office, forcing people to try some. And everyone had one of those “OMG, I can’t believe that’s vegan” moments, which made me swoon for this flavor even more. Chunks of caramel and sea salt chocolate covered cashews? I don’t even have words for that. Unbelievable!

CAPPUCCINO: This awesome flavor only fuels my recent addiction to coffee. And considering the massive heatwave we’re experiencing in Boston (and when I say heatwave, I mean 35 degrees), I’ve had a serious craving for iced lattes. This cappuccino ice cream is like a solidified latte and I was in love. It also wasn’t too creamy, like the chocolate version, and was better in my coffee smoothie.

SNICKERDOODLE: The most creative variation in the bunch, was also one of the yummiest-who are we kidding, they were all yummy though. It was definitely a flavor I wasn’t excepting, but it was super cinnamon-y and had an extremely velvety texture. It also seemed to be the sweetest of the case to me, and I only ate it in smaller increments. My mom LOVES Snickerdoodles though, so I’ll probably be a good daughter and share some with her 🙂

I saw that my grocery store carries the Silk cashew milk, which I’ve been buying and preferring to almond milk for the creaminess factor, but I didn’t even think to check if they have So Delicious cashew milk ice cream! The salted caramel one sounds awesome. Salted caramel anything is always my favorite.
