Amethyst Confectionery Candy

If you didn’t know, Halloween is one of my favorite holidays.

And so I’ve totally got candy on my mind.

But most vegan candies, kind of suck, right? And we all know that just because something is vegan, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s healthy, or void of artificial colors, dyes, weird numbers and flavorings. In fact, most candies that are vegan seem like they have MORE sketchy additives in them, then the non-vegan ones.

Unless you’re indulging in Amethyst Confectionery’s sweets. Because then you’re getting amazingly delicious treats, without all the junk ingredients!

I had the absolute pleasure of trying out their toasted coconut cashew brittle, red raspberry lollipops and sea salt caramels. And though they’ve still got sugar in them, they are still leaps and bounds better than any other store bought candy I’ve. With really only nuts, coconut milk and brown rice syrup being the additional ingredients. My dentist still might not be thrilled with all the chewy, sugary decadence, but I certainly am.

The crunchy, buttery brittle, was loaded with coconut flakes and cashews and was far more delicious than any other non-vegan brittle I can ever remember having. Same with the sea salt caramels. Because we all know I’m a sucker for anything sweet and salty. Both treats were a little tough on my teeth, as are most brittles and caramels of any kind. Personally, I was a fan of just letting them melt in my mouth, rather than chewing them. Which just made them last forever, which I was obviously a fan of. The lollipops were also really sweet and yummy, and something I would happily give out to trick or treaters 🙂

I also love that they’re a Denver-based company, so make sure to check out their Etsy shop here and see all their other impressive options! I have to add, that 10% of all profits go to the National Coalition of Homelessness which makes me love them even more, and makes me even more inclined to make lots of future purchases.
