Soley Fruit

Say what you will about how awful 2020 has been, but if there’s been one clear winner this year, it’s the onslaught of incredible plant-based snacks that have popped up the past few months.

And I’m gonna go ahead and already crown Solely Fruit as the king/queen of vegan 2020 treats.

(Pauses for round of applause).

Sure, sure, you’ve had dehydrated fruit. But you’ve never had it like this. I don’t know what they’re doing or how they manage to cram half of an organic pineapple, a coconut or a full banana into these sleek, delicious sticks, but I’m beyond thrilled that they have. All their fruit jerky, bags of dried fruits and even their dehydrated veggies-spaghetti squash!- are downright amazing.

I especially love that there’s no other ingredients in their organic dehydrated fruits, aside from a few flavors have a sweet/savory blend of sea salt and chili, a couple with raw drizzled cacao (DROOL) and one with added pecans. They’re not hard and dry, or taste stale like some dried fruits. Even without the addition of cane sugar, which most dried fruits DO have, they stay chewy and satiating, It’s been hard for me to not eat dozens of them on a single hike, and I definitely plowed through a few bags on my own during a recent solo trip to the Tetons and Yellowstone.
