Soom Foods Tehina Giveaway!

In case you didn’t know, I LOATHE Black Friday.

There is nothing I hate more than large, psychotic crowds, packed malls and materialism. We go from being uber grateful on Thanksgiving, and without even sleeping that night, everyone is off to the malls getting greedy and spending money they don’t have to buy shit they don’t need. I’m not hating on Christmas all together, I just think in general, we’re missing the whole point these days.

I digress.

As much as I can’t stand post-UNturkey Day shopping, I do love a good deal. And what I love even more is offering my readers a deal and hosting a brand spanking new giveaway! This one from Soom Foods is a goodie, and I’m so excited to share.

Tehina, as if you couldn’t tell from the name, is much like tahini. I generally never buy it because it’s so pricey and never really thought it added much to my dishes. Tehina, on the other hand is moderately priced, insanely rich and creamy and ABSOLUTELY added a level of depth to my hummus, especially.

I know, I know. Hummus? Come on, Lisa. The most basic vegan staples is rather unimpressive.

But I never added tahini to my old hummus creations because I didn’t think it did anything for it. Adding Tehina however, REALLY made my hummus insanely creamy and delicious. That was the only thing I changed, and I was astounded at how much of a difference it made. From what I can tell, the only variation between Tehina and tahini is that Tehina is roasted and pressed sesame seeds, where tahini is roasted and ground up. Processing it this way must make for a higher quality product because it really the Soom Foods creation, really is incredible.

Check out my amped up hummus below, enter the giveaway and check out Soom Foods for some really unique Tehina recipes!
