Day two of what I guess I should call, “smoothie week”.
This one is especially great. I am a big pumpkin spice hater. Once everyone starts binging on pumpkin spice beer, lattes, donuts, candles, body lotions and ice creams (the list goes on and on), I flip my shit. Though some pumpkin beer is REALLY good, the rest is super excessive and 99.9% of all of it, is hardly pumpkin. These seasonal creations are generally just pumpkin flavorings, chemicals and additives. All of which, make me want to vomit.
That’s why this homemade pumpkin smoothie puts all the other mainstream pumpkin junk to shame.
They’re more filling than I though they would be, and I actually think they make a better healthy dessert than a breakfast option. But don’t judge me if I start a few mornings with them 🙂
2 frozen bananas, chopped
1 cup organic pumpkin puree
1/3 soaked oats
3 dates, pitted
2 tbsp hemp seeds
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp pure vanilla
1 inch piece of fresh ginger
Dashes of nutmeg, ginger and cloves (between 1/4 and 1/2 tsp of each, to taste)
So Delicious Coconut Whipped Cream for topping
- Blend together-DONE!
