Speaking of whispering….wanna hear a secret?

The Veggie Whisperer is my new favorite plant-based food truck!

Scratch that. It’s not a secret. TELL EVERYONE! SHOUT IT FROM THE MOUNTAINS.

This Middle Eastern inspired vegetarian/vegan truck seems basic at first glance. Lots of hummus, falafel, fries. Kind of standard fare.

But let me tell you…it’s anything but.

I cannot accurately describe how insanely delicious and flavorful everything at TVW is. Beautifully crafted loaded fries, with fancy, delicious toppings, some of the most perfect falafel I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating and the best, yes, BEST hummus I’ve ever had in my entire existence. And I don’t even like hummus that much!

Falafels, pita wraps and Greek salads are truly the star of the show here. TVW has really nailed all the traditional elements of these dishes, from the smooth tehina sauce, to warm, fluffy pitas and the shawarma spiced veggies that grace every meal.

I was lucky enough to scarf down one of their new menu items, cauliflower shawarma hummus platter, which is a crazy delicious mix of roasted cauliflower, caramelized onions, parsley, tehina sauce and pita over the SMOOTHEST hummus you will ever have the pleasure of eating. And again, I kind of hate hummus. But would probably bathe in this if I could. Perfectly garlicky and blended into an almost whipped, dreamy consistency, it almost left me speechless.

But I had to shovel more food into my mouth like their insane, signature falafel wrap, loaded with crisp veggies and fries. YES, FRIES. In a falafel wrap. Because the only thing better than the perfect falafel, is a perfect falafel wrap with fries. Am I right?

Though they also have a gorgeous roasted beet hummus platters, lots of gourmet fries, some super fresh salads, I had tunnel vision for one menu item.

Their chocolate tahini shake.

Yep. A CHOCOLATE TAHINI SHAKE.

It’s a totally Instagrammable sweet treat, with a stunningly coiffed whipped cream top, crunchy sesame seed crumble and a super cute straw to boot. And again, it’s got an insanely smooth, velvety chocolate/tahini texture that complimented all their savory items absolutely perfectly.

Look how happy we are. Pure bliss. Even though moments later we were basically fighting over the food. But I will gladly fight even my favorite friends for more portions of The Veggie Whisperer. With regular shifts at Rayback and other local breweries, make sure to track them down immediately!
