Sad story. I think I might be allergic to chickpeas? Anyone else have a weird reaction to them these days?
I’d been telling Andrew for MONTHS about chocolate hummus. Every time we pass it in the store he comments on how gross it sounds, and like most foods, I insist that I can make a version of it he’d love.
And I was right. (I love when I’m right).
And lucky him, he gets to eat most of it now, while I try and figure out this garbanzo dilemma!
1 can organic chickpeas, rinsed and drained
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/4 cup maple syrup
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 tbsp oat milk
Dash of sea salt
- Place all ingredients in a food processor and pulse until well blended
- Serve with fresh fruit or graham crackers
