Fire Cider Review + Giveaway

My only way to make up for my lack of recipes recently due to my overwhelming cooking and teaching workload right now, is to keep offering you guys some kick ass giveaways.

And trust me…nothing will kick your ass quite like Fire Cider. In a good way, of course.

I first came across Fire Cider at a cooking demo last year (which ironically, I will also be at this coming Saturday April 11th-Johnson’s in Waltham for their Customer Appreciation Day) and was immediately intrigued by it. I know how healthy apple cider vinegar is to drink every day, but never really made the commitment to choking down a bit every day. Everyone else at the demo who tried it was blown away by it’s potency and it’s near immediate immune boost that was so powerful, you could literally feel it. It’s super charged mix of all organic, non-GMO ingredients-ACV, oranges, lemons, onions, ginger, horseradish, habanero pepper, garlic and turmeric-plus, honey if you get the unsweetened, non-vegan one. I am personally OK with honey, but sampled the unsweetened version, just to be a politically correct vegan.

It’s a weird mix, right? It reminds me of a Bloody Mary (which Fire Cider, does mix well with booze, and they list lots of recipes on their blog), in that nothing seems like it should belong together. Lots of bitter and spicy elements, that don’t seem like they should be in the same concoction. But somehow, they work. It is tough to get down though, I’m not going to lie. But it reminds me of wheatgrass in that, although it may not be the most delicious drink in the world, the health benefits of it FAR outweigh the initial shock of a shot.

Fire Cider provides all these amazing health perks:

  • Immune system support
  • Digestive support
  • Energy boost (bye bye, coffee!)
  • And my personal fave-a hangover cure!

Yep. Taking a shot of Fire Cider after taking one too many shots the night has definitely assisted me in feeling better the next day. Though taking a shot of Fire Cider is kind of like taking a shot of Fireball-an initial shock to your system that makes you instantly twitch your head a little, sigh a deep breathe and feel a surge go through your body. Except in Fire Cider’s case, you can feel your metabolism kick start and your body seems to jolt alive.

This stuff is the real deal. And it’s bottled locally, in Pittsfiled, MA, which makes it even more appealing to me. Order some of your own or enter the giveaway below and win a prize pack!
