SugarBear Sleep Vitamins

I don’t know about you guys, but one of the hardest things I ever had to give up as a vegan wasn’t cheese or ice cream or chicken wings.

It was gummy bears.

I was a straight up, gummy FIEND most of my life, and could easily consume a massive bag in one sitting. It was my favorite candy, snack, dessert, breakfast, ANY TIME, ANYWHERE, I would eat gummy bears if I could.

But damn, that gelatin. Whoever came up with that anyways?

Flash forward to current day, and I am beyond thrilled that not only can I enjoy my beloved bears again, but these yummy vegan ones from SugarBear ALSO help me sleep! Literally, a dream come true!

SugarBear is famous for it’s line of vegetarian/vegan gummies geared towards healthy hair, as well as women’s multivitamins. Though gummy vitamins had always simply seemed like a gimmick to me, I was pleasantly surprised by how stellar their ingredient list was. Though they do contain small amounts of sugar (they are still gummy bears, after all), they’re mostly composed of things like vitamins, coconut oil, folic acid, zinc and biotin.

Their sleep vitamins are especially clean, with the addition of melatonin, valerian root, magnesium, lemon balm and passion flower. Doesn’t that just sound calm and soothing? Though straight up melatonin used to give me nightmares or feeling groggy in the morning, this floral mix didn’t have the same affect, thankfully.

I took these every day (serving size is actually two gummies 30 minutes before bed) for an entire month and could actually feel the results. I’m a super restless sleeper, but yet, there were only a handful of nights during this past month where I didn’t sleep completely through the night! And though my dreams were a bit stranger than usual (I have crazy weird dreams, as it is), I’m not sure that can totally attribute to the SugarBears. I got pretty much a solid 7 hours of sleep for the 30 days, and if I didn’t, it was probably because some beer was thrown into the mix, as well. Prior to this, I was VERY dependent on edibles to get me through most nights. But that also produces the dreaded morning grogginess and are far more expensive than the $30 or less per month for these gummies. They’ve been a lifesaver just to get some much needed rest when I’m sore from hiking and have also come in clutch during backpacking/camping trips/van sleeping the last few weeks, when my bed conditions are less than ideal.

Try them for yourself, ESPECIALLY if you’ve been missing gummy bears like I have. (Just try not to eat the whole bottle in one sitting!)
