Juice on Main Review + Cleanse

Am I dreaming?

Can a place as amazing as Juice on Main really exist?

I didn’t think it was humanly possible, but the reality of the incredible smoothies, juices and shots up for grabs here, has me ecstatic.

This three-month-old organic, cold-pressed juicery is really crushing the juice game in Medfield. I am not exaggerating when I say it is some of the best-tasting and highest-quality drinks I’ve ever had the pleasure of consuming. And I’ve had A LOT of raw vegan, organic juices and smoothies in my lifetime.

Their obvious Main Street locale is bright, vibrant and inviting-from the cheery chalkboard displaying a long list of delicious drinks, to their extremely knowledgeable and friendly juice team, headed by owners Lori DeLang and John Coppolino. I was blown away by how wonderful they were, on top of being so educated in what it takes to make a really great juice. I like to think I’m pretty well-versed in the art of coming up with super healthy and good-tasting drinks, but these two are truly innovators. They are beyond creative when it comes to their recipes, but still focus on mixtures that are packed full of well-balanced and optimal quality ingredients, while still tasting delicious enough that people won’t get squeamish after one sip. I’ve been know to choke down wheatgrass or algae shots just because I know it’s good for me. But I wasn’t overly happy about it. But at Juice on Main you can rest assured that everything you try is going to taste superb AND be beneficial to your health.

This is the part where I would start listing all the amazing drinks and cleanses they offer. And this is the part I’m struggling with. Because I tried so many incredible concoctions here and they all blew me away Every. Single. One. And what really makes all of them so top-notch is the fact that they’re organic, cold-pressed and non-pasteurized. Which is rare to find, but gives all their drinks that pure, clean and delectable taste that makes all the difference in a really fabulous juice.

So I’m going to kick things off with the most interesting and unique thing I had, which was dubbed The Protector shot. A mix of turmeric, cayenne, ginger, lemon and oil of oregano. Oil of oregano! Sounds gross I know, but it’s not, and if you haven’t heard of the benefist of it, you need to read up on that. Combined with the other anti-inflammatory , anti-bacterial and immune-boosting elements, this shot is an absolutely powerhouse. You instantly feel everything in your body shift and come alive once you get it down. If you’re feeling sick or sluggish, this will absolutely reboot you.

Then there were there smoothies. Now, I love smoothies. But I really prefer making them at home and rarely purchase one at a shop. 99% of café made smoothies are nothing but sugar. Yes, it’s sugar from fruit, but still. Smoothies that are nothing but conventional strawberries, bananas, pineapple and peach aren’t really doing your body much good. And that’s the opposite of what you’re going to get at Juice on Main. One of their most popular, and maybe my favorite, is the Gettin’ Silly, which boasts kale, spinach, orange, pineapple, cilantro and ginger. Such a varied, green juice that doesn’t solely rely on fruit for flavor! Cilantro is my absolute preferred addition to juices and smoothies, but you never usually see it offered anywhere. I had their Dreamsicle as well, which is an absolute delight and TOTALLY lives up to it’s name. Other notable options include the Mint Chip and Cocoa Buzz.

And now. For the juices. The cleanse. The absolute defining factor that sets Juice on Main above all the rest. Their blends are fairly simple, but extremely pure, refreshing and are of the utmost superior quality. By using a Goodnature cold-press juicer, all their concoctions taste THAT much better. Most juice spots I visit nowadays use a really poor quality juicer, which yields a pulpy, separated product that doesn’t taste all that great. But not here. Even their Green Machine and Simple Green are green-heavy, and limited on fruit, but have such a smooth quality and are easy to drink-even for newbie juicers. I am generally not a huge fan of carrots or beets in juices either and was completely obsessed with their 14 Karat and Beet Red variations, which almost tasted too good to be true! The real stand-out juice, which I got to watch them make, was their Gold Rush. Turmeric+pineapple+green apple+ginger= the best thing I’ve ever drank. They’ve also got a vanilla and chocolate version of fresh almond milks that weren’t heavy and overly sweet like most homemade nutmilks I’ve tried. There isn’t a single thing about their juices that I wasn’t completely and utterly in love with 🙂

I did their cleanse for just a day and felt SO good. I genuinely enjoyed and looked forward to drinking each one and it never felt like a task just to get them down, like I’ve felt with other cleanses. They are also an absolute STEAL at $57.50 a day for six juices, considering the taste and quality of their product. On the whole, absolutely everything was moderately priced and I’ve paid almost twice as much for juices and smoothies that were a fraction of the quality of Juice on Main.

I could go on for days about everything else I love about this place. But you’re much better off just ordering a cleanse for yourself or stopping in for a shot, so you can fully experience the magic of this wonderful spot. And go ahead and mention me, because you’ll get 5% off any purchase. Chances are, you’re going to run into me there anyways!
