Cilantro, Jalapeno & Lime Hummus

We make our red pepper hummus ALL THE TIME.  I get bored pretty quickly, but I love my hummus, so I wanted a new variation.  Lime and cilantro are 2 of my favorite food staples, so putting them together in hummus made it delicious!  It’s perfect as a dip, but even better as a sandwich or wrap spread.

3 cups cooked chickpeas

1 cup fresh chopped cilantro

1 jalapeno, seeded and chopped

1/3 cup lime juice

1/3 cup water

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsbp tahini

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 tsp sea salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

Dash cayenne powder

  • Blend all ingredients EXCEPT cilantro in the food processor until creamy
  • Remove from processor and stir in cilantro
