Elianni-To Eat Well Giveaway!

As excited I was to host giveaways for our favorite vegan products (hello, Daiya and Beyond Meat), I was equally thrilled to have a newcomer approach me with their awesome, gluten-free, ORGANIC vegan foods.

Because let’s face it-a lot of vegan substitutes on the market lack that little USDA Organic sticker and that drives me nuts. Though I understand it can be insanely difficult to become certified, I really admire the companies that go the extra mile to make sure their goods have only the best ingredients. And when those ingredients are almost completely soy-free, too? Forget about it-I’m in love.

And this is why I am really stoked about Elianni. A company that has found a way to make yummy vegan foods without tons of chemicals lurking in them.

I was lucky enough to receive a whole case of their products-and there are SO many to choose from. There’s a variety of pates, veggie cutlets, grape juice and lots of different veggie rolls (ready to eat faux meats). They all have immense flavor, take little to no time to prepare and are perfect for families and busy moms who don’t always have time to prepare some of my more elaborate recipes 😉

Here’s a rundown of how I used some of these fabulous products-and then enter below to win a prize pack of goodies to try yourself!

The grape juice was really refreshing own it’s own. All I did was stick it in the freezer for a bit and felt super fancy drinking it after it had chilled. It is also a great addition to sauces for reduction and to add a subtle sweetness to dressings.

The veggie cutlets freaked me out at first. They so closely resemble McDonald’s nuggets that I ALMOST didn’t to give them a go. But they actually turned out to be the most versatile product, the best-tasting AND a small box produced a ton of little cutlets! All you had to do was soak them in boiling water or broth and they were good to go. I chopped them and tossed them with a batch of pasta and roasted red pepper sauce and they gave the dish a nice extra touch. Elianni has a recipe for nuggets and I totally think they would be ideal for kids!

So many choices when it comes to pates! The only downside was they come in a can, but hey-we can’t all be perfect. I found the peppercorn to be the best flavor and the most versatile for adding to wraps and spreads. I even smeared some on my already delicious Daiya grilled cheese and it made it even more savory!

And we all already know what I did with the veggie roll after reading yesterday’s post. I found the rolls to be a little dry when I ate them as is or just added to a salad, but cooked down a bit with some sauces and spices and they have a great texture, consistency and flavor. I bet they would be awesome breaded, fried and crisped up a little…but we’ll save that for another post.
