Autumn Sangira

Oh, look at me. Getting a little fancy!

I love me a good cocktail. What I DON’T love, is when I go to a restaurant or bar and they load the drinks up with fake stuff and sugars. I hardly ever get sangria or fall-ish things when I go out, because I know there’s tons of sweeteners and fake pumpkin/apple spice flavorings in there. And while it’s rare that I get hungover, I DO feel like garbage when I have a drink that has junk in it.

Which is why I took it upon myself to create this organic, clean, autumn sangria cocktail that is absolutely delicious, and 100% devoid of anything fake or gross. I got another shipment of Avaline Wine the other day, (an all-vegan, organic wine company, with the BEST wines I’ve ever had), and the Pinot Grigio was just screaming to be used in this bev.

Halloween might be over, but you’re definitely going to want to whip this up for your next holiday party or Thanksgiving! It’s not only delicious, but ridiculously festive, and impossible not to Instagram 🙂

1 bottle Pinot Grigio

2 cups organic apple cider

1 cup brandy

2 oranges, one juiced, one sliced

1 apple, sliced

1 inch piece ginger, skin removed

6 cinnamon sticks, plus more for garnish

Rosemary sprigs for garnish

  • In a large, deep pitcher, layer apple slices, orange slices, ginger and cinnamon sticks
  • Pour wine, brandy, apple cider and orange juice over fruit
  • Let sit overnight (or at least 4 hours, longer is better though!)
  • Serve in four glasses, garnish with cinnamon sticks and rosemary sprigs
